Australia Wide Recyclers was the main sponsor of the new year (Nowruz) festival organised by Adelaide Kurdish Youth Society and supported by Tea Tree council. Nowruz (New Year) is celebrated in many countries in middle east and Asia. There was plenty of entertainment for the whole family. Including live entertainment, cultural dance, food, music, amusement rides and fireworks!
The biggest aim of celebrating Newroz is to share the culture and traditions with the wider Australian community and use the event to promote harmony, multiculturalism and peace. The official date of Newroz falls on the 21st of March every year coinciding with Harmony day, further stressing the aim of promoting such qualities in our society and community.
